18 or 19's in the rear??

I am pulling my hair out on if i should go with 18x8.5 and 18x10.5 or 18x8.5 and 19x10 rears C6 Z06 Deep Dish?? I see both on the thread for OE wheel pics and they both look great!! 19's look to maybe fill out the ass a little better.

I had stock C6 19x10's all the way around with 275/30/19 tires...the ride was VERY harsh and I couldn't get traction and both issues were due to a 30 series tire IMO. I'm now on 18x9.5's all the way around with 275/35/18's and I'm MUCH happier with the ride and traction. I thought the look of the 19's would make everything good, but you can't see what your ride looks like while you're driving it and it's not much fun to drive when the ride is bad and you can't get traction...I'd go with the 18's.

Nasty Hawk, I was in the same spot as you. 18's on a lowered ride will look just as good as 19's without sacrificing ride quality and performance/traction (well idk about traction loss on a 330rwhp fbody  ). I haven't driven on either size wheels, I'm still on the stock ws6's but from all the research I've done I have decided I'm going with 18'' wheels. I'm even considering 17's just to have 11" wide's :)

THanks for the input guys and they look sweet facelift. Is it true the 18 has a bigger chrome lip than the 19 cause it is wider? Plus i dont really see much choice of drag radials for the 19's.

I think my 19's are just fine for driving and the ride is normal.. If your looking for tracking then you would simply need a stickier tire..
But, lowered on 18's or 19's look nice..everything fills out nicely.. I posted some pics of my staggered old set up..

I just put a set of 19s on my camaro and the ride is a bit more rough then the 16s of coarse but its not bad at all. Weather you go 18s or 19s there bothing going to look awesome, they both fill out the wheel well nicely when the car is lowered.

Personally, I wouldn't go bigger than 18s. And if you do 18s, you better drop the car, otherwise it'll look funny. I have serious traction problems on my 18s as it is, I couldn't imagine on 19s. So I just keep the car on the 15s now lol

18/19 combo look great with a great looking stance and tire choice.

IMO how good a wheel combo works has less to do with the size of the actual wheel and more to do with the size of the tire.

19's rock but if you stretch a little rubberband tire around it... FAIL

17's can look better than 18's with a good set of meaty tires.

It's all in the tire.
