Default Is it just me or do OE DD C5's look like CCW SP500?

Looking at both of these wheels, it seems to me that the DD C5's are almost like a cheaper version of the CCW SP500's, which I like . I'm thinking a set of polished 18" DD C5's may be coming at tax return time!

In person, you can really tell the quality of the metal in wheels like CCWs.

That said, those are BY FAR my favorite not-super-expensive wheels - just not in chrome

The resemblance is definitely there.

In pictures they have a huge resemblance no doubt about it, but in person the CCW's completely **** on them.

I'm sure CCW's are a better wheel, but for 5 times the price of C5 DD's that differences aren't worth worrying about IMHO. I love my wheels.

I'm sure the CCW's do look better in person, they are a $2k lightweight forged wheel, so they should look better, but for the money I think the resemblance is definitely enough for most people who don't have $2k to spend on wheels.

That's kinda a reason why I got C5's and another reason was I needed wheels bad cause all 4 of my SS's were bent so bad that it made the ride terrible. So that being said and me being on a budget, I got the C5's cause they look good and there great on the prices from OE.

Well, first off, CCW's **** on the majority of wheels out there. Secondly, completely different class of wheel, not really that comparable, but if you must then, dd C5's take a huge ******* **** on CCW's price wise.

OE should just make some cast examples similar to the SP500, problem solved

I hate the OEM centercaps on the C5 wheels. Too big and too much plastic.

Have to agree about the center caps. That's why they should be producing 97pontta's custom center caps. https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...nter-caps.html

You get what you pay for. I'm not taking anything away from OE wheels, but like you said you can't even compare the two. CCW wheels have always looked nice IMO, but it wasn't until I got my own set that I realized how nice of a wheel they actually are.

And maybe alternate bolt patterns? I'd rock a set of these if they came with 4.5 bolt patterns. This finish with those centercaps is SEXY.
