Why doesn't anyone make an SS 10 spoke aftermarket 17x11? No demand I guess?

I'm just curious why it isn't done. They do make the ZR1 style (although it's the same thing as a GS offset). An aftermarket 10 spoke would be great in a 17x11.

Is there a demand? Would anyone buy them?

Just curious

You could always look into having them widened. I dont know of any places specifically that do it but I do know it can be done. Rob Ramyer had it done to his Buick T-Type.

they were only production rims for 3 years. no demand.

The Ws6 guys can't even get the aftermarket to produce the 11" versions, and that was a 96-01 production run.

The ZR1's are only made in 11 because the factory ones were, sucks.

Actually I believe the SS wheels were only offered in 17X9. I have a buddy with a 98 SS and hes only got 17X9 ZR1/SS rims.

Actually, the 01/02's are different. They have the flatter spokes that kinda curve out.

I wouldn't be interested in widening 10 spokes because the have absolutely no lip and the lug nut barrels can't be recessed. Thats probably why companies aren't interested in producing these, although I have seen a guy with widened 35th SS wheels on his silver (or was it pewter) SS.

I always thought the 10 spokes would look better if GM would have polished the lip like on the ZR1's.

Yeah.. depends on what it costs to have them widened...If it's a ton, you might as well buy something different... hmm.. still curious..

no, the 96-01 are the same, they also used the speedline rims on 01-02 cars (the ones you are talking about, they were former LT1 firehawk rims) which is why i said 96-01, not 96-02. Both are factory correct for a 2001 car.

I have some of both in my attic

cost is normally about 200 a rim for widening, plus about 10-20 per rim shipping, per direction
