Stock or TT2's??? 1 Attachment(s) Picked this car up a few weeks ago. I think it looks great with the rally wheels and BF Goodwrench white letters but my favorite wheels is Torque Thrust 2's. I have been thinking about putting 17 TT2's on it. What do you think? |
I like Torque Thrusts very much, but I don't care for 17" wheels on most old cars. Just my opinion. You can get TTs in 15" too. RWL tires are a must for old muscle, IMO. What I would do with yours would be a 215/65/15 front, 255/60/15 rear setup (seen in pic below, except that I would probably use chrome rallys with no trim ring and the short derby cap): http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o...60-15rear1.jpg |
I agree about the modern wheels on old cars. To me it looks odd since the wheel openings where smaller for smaller wheels back then. Modern wheels appear to be bigger than what they are due to the small wheel openings on old cars. The picture above has a mean stance. |
torq thrust with grey center in 16 or 17 inch will look great . saw a lot of first gen camaros "back in the day late 60s early 70s. "running on them . |
i would keep the factory wheels but i love those wheels anyway i kept them on my 72 monte and 71 chevelle |
That is a beautiful 1st gen! I love the classic OEM wheels on the old cars, but TT2s will look great on there as well. Get some TT2s if you like them and keep the Rally wheels for shows, etc. |
1 Attachment(s) Both will look good but I love the rally wheels; if those are your only choices. Personally I do think the 17" wheels do look better then most 15" wheels. But I've always been a fan of the pro-touring and road racing look. Take a look at this Camaro. The wheels are V40’s from Vintage Wheel Works |
15x8, 15x10. Torq thrust D's FTW |
|
Keep the Rallies On Man. |
Stock for sure. They look awesome on that car. |
everyone and their mother does TTII's on first gens, i say keep it with the stockers looks clean simple and sexy :) |
