What tires run true to size? Any suggestions?
I guess the way I think of it, is if I go to buy some jeans and I'm looking between two different brands I expect a 36in waist to be a 36in waist. You've got the Nitto 555 DR's that people have found to run very thin. Are all Nittos this way? The NT555's?
How about the Vredestrein Ultrac Sessans?
I think my garbage Sumitomos run narrow (the 275's up front left a lot of the wheel exposed passed the sidewall) and I'm looking to replace them with something in the $675-$850ish range for the set but don't want something that will look narrow.
275/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 out back, any suggestions?

Im also looking for new tires. My current tires are 555's. I like the way they fit my stock wheels. They are wide enough to protect the wheel. If I were getting nittos again, Id get 275's. Im looking to try something new this time though. Nothing against Nitto. Just want something different. Like you, Im worried about buying something that runs on the narrow side. I got over 60K miles out of my nittos by the way.
