Default Weld Prostars Over LT1 Brakes

I've searched my *** off, and I'm still not confident enough to buy a set of prostars. I've seen multiple threads about having to grind calipers and/or use spacers. Can anyone learn me a thing a two about what is needed to run some prostars on my LT1 camaro?
I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to grind the rear calipers down, but I should be fine with the fronts. Correct?

15x7 Front 215/70/15
15x10 Rear 275/60/15 555r's

I had to grind my fronts on my 94' z28. It's not as bad as the ls1 cars, but you have to remove a lot of caliper material. Race stars fit without grinding, but prostars dont. The rears bolt-on and go, though.

I've just found a pretty good deal on some prostars with tires. That's why I'm wondering about fitment issues right now.
What size did you have on your 94? with backspacing

Ive never seen anyone fit a 15x7 over the stock front brakes. Most people run 15x3.5 and you have to grind or run spacers for those. I doubt the 15x7s will fit

A smaller 3.5 would fit better than the 15x7?

these are already on an 01 Z28.

You can check out my thread i did years ago on this topic.
I ran the prostar without spacers though. This also depends what size wheel tire your going to run.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...-pro-star.html

-Grind caliper or use spacers and grind less
-If brakes are worn out you'll have to get new pads and re-grind for calipers to rim clearance.
-Lots of BFH rear inner fender well
-Roll inner fender lip
-Replace rear lower control arm (stock rear LCA will rub tire)
-Longer lug stud's
-Shank style lug nuts

One thing I can't figure out. The guy I'm potentially buying the prostars from. He has an LS1 camaro, and runs 15x7 prostars on the front. Why would these not work at all on my car?

Most people buy ProStar because its low cost for light weight wheel, putting 15X7 up front defeats the purpose. If going with wider rim then maybe a better choice would be in the 17's such as 17X9 or better handeling wheels.

Feel free to message me anytime with your questions, ill try to get back asap.
