Default Split 5 Spoke ADR Sterling Chrome wheels on my TA

Here are a few pics of my new front wheels, the backs are not ready yet. These are ADR Sterling Chrome 18x8.5 on the front, with 255/35/18 Toyo T-1 tires. Pics are not that great, but I wanted to show them off

Feel free to browse here http://www.ayresweb.com/ADR_wheels/two_fronts for more pics.

Hopefully the two rear wheels I'm having widened will be ready sometime in the next week or two. They will be 18x10 with 295/35/18 Toyo T-1's.

Well overall the wheel design looks pretty sweet, but WOW! do those look SMALL on your car! Definately need some bigger tires on them. (Taller) They just don't fill up the wheel well like your Fikse did. Plus I would highly recomend a spacer to push the wheels farther out as they are tucked in to the wheel well too far to look cool.

Just don't stick them out as far as the Boyd's you sold as they stick out too far and would rub for sure with your DMS springs.

Due to the many emails I have received wanting to know the exact specs on these wheels they are:

18x8.5 ADR Sterling wheels, chrome finish. (These wheels also come in a diamond cut/silver finish as well.)

5x120 bolt pattern, 38mm offset.

Here is a link to a page showing prices on all the sizes, finishes, and offsets they come in:

http://www.bigwheels.net/wheelshow.jsp?modelid=388

This is really a BMW bolt pattern, but they fit perfectly.

I am having the rear wheels widened to 18x10, and they will effectively have a 7.75" backspacing when they are finished, so they should great with no spacers required. I may add 1/4 " spacers on all four corners just to fine tune the "look" of the wheels on the car. I'll make my final determination on that after I get my rear wheels back and see how they fit.

Thanks again for all the great comments, suggestions, and emails I have gotten.

Wow those are some pretty killer looking wheels on the car. I am looking on getting some wheels that are drilled for a BMW but I dunno if the offsets would fit on a F-body or not. They are 19x8.5 and a 19x9.5 with either a 35 or 47mm offset. Would those offsets work with forth gen specs?

Thanks for the comment...

The 19x8.5 with the 35mm offset would sit almost exactly where mine do on the front.

An 19x9.5 with a 47mm offset would be great! It would put your wheels out 1/4" more towards the edge of the fender, which would be perfect IMHO. As a matter of fact, I am considering putting 1/4" spacers on mine which would give me a 48mm offset and I think would look perfect!

Thanks for the info. Here is the wheel I am prolly going to do. I hope no one gets a set of these before I do. I would love to be the first to have these in 19s on a Z28

Messiah, those wheels infact do look sweet but I have a question for you, well actually two. First, what? no polished lip?
Second, why go to all to trouble of trying to find spacers, longer wheel studs, hammering inner fender wells, ect with BMW wheels when you can just get a set of wheels custom made to fit your car? You can get a set of iForged Swift(first pic) or Seneka (second pic) built in any finish and offset to fit your car.

iForged Home Page

FYI, I tried to work with Boyd Coddington, Budnik, and even HRE but they couldn't get me the wheel offsets and lip sizes I wanted for my SS. So I worked with Vince at iForged and ordered my wheels 2 weeks ago from them. (different wheel design though). Just another option to think about.

I have seen the iForged line of wheels before. I am well aware of how they can be custom ordered. And what not. Personally I think that for the wheels I posted for 400 for a 19x9.5 and 380 for a 19x8.5 its a very good deal. I could have the lip polished and the rear wheels widened to a 19x10.5 for an additional 300 for both of the rears. I think that is a very good deal since I was quoted 3k for a set of iForged a couple of months ago.

When I look around at all the F-bodies out there with aftermarket wheels it is very hard to find something that is affordable and something that no one else has at the same time. Most of the cheaper wheels out there that can fit an F-body look like **** IMO. And if people are going to go cheap they usually get something everyone else has like Y2K, TTIIs, ZO6 wheels, SS wheels, GS wheels, and so forth. There are some people out there with some killer looking wheels on their F-bodies but, its usually something along the line of Fiske's (ugly outdated wheels IMHO and everyone and their mom has them on a F-Body), HREs and you get the occasional Simmons and Kenesis person. All those wheels are 700+ for a 19" rim. There are some billet wheels out there that I like also but the price goes in hand with the size I want. I think the Axis wheels would look nice on a F-body. I havent found much of anything else that could come close to the price for the size of the rim. It would be hard press to find anything in the size that Axis offers for 1600 for all four. Then again I might be looking at getting some of these as well.

These wheels come in from a 17-19" rim sizes and anywhere from a 8.5"-10" wide wheel. And I am pretty sure they do come in offsets that can fit a F-Body. I like these much better then the Fiske FM/5s because of the thinner spokes and the flat lip to where Fiskes use a stepped lip making the center of the wheel look smaller.

I would agree that I am sick of all these TT2's, ZO6, ZR1, Y2K, bla bla bla wheels that I see, and around here (Grand Rapids, MI) with all the Berger Camaro cars you can't toss a dead cat and not hit a set of Fikse wheels. I don't mind the general concept of the FM/5's but like you said they are outdated with the old stepped lip design.

Personally I rather pay to have just what I wanted built and not have to get wheels cut, widened, or use spacers to fit on my car, but that is just my opinion and I do realize that. I was just trying to give you some options as many have not heard of the iForged wheels. BTW you need to shop around better (granted though they are not cheap wheels to buy) as the quote someone gave you for the iForged wheels ......well frankly...... sucks.

Good luck on your quest for cheap original (good looking) wheels for your ride. But remember you must pay to play!

I actually went back and looked at some past emails and the quote for the iForged wheels were 2800 or so in a 19x9 and 19x10. That ain't to bad IMO, better then 4k if I wanted some HREs. I am not ruling out iForged at all. Just doing alot of research on what is out there that will fit, look good, and have good quality.

Sounds like a good idea to look around and do LOTS of research. I spent about 10 mos searching around before ordering mine. The research was a lot of fun for me, but the waiting for custom wheels to be built sucks.

No matter what you get I'm sure it will look sweet as you seem to have good taste from what you are considering so far. Good luck and ask lots of question so you are comfortable when plunking down your hard earned cash.

What are some other wheel sites? I am looking for some different kinds of wheels, but nothing that will break the bank.... fiske and HRE prices.

I am looking for 17" and 18" wheels.
