Smacked "gutter curb" on tire & wheel. HOW BAD IS THIS?

Sorry to see what happened -- I hate it when that happens.
As for driving on the tire, this is essentially common sense: Can you get away with it, probably. I'm sure many people do. That being said, if you choose to drive on it please understand that it might not be pretty if something goes wrong (blowout, etc.).
I had a couple small cuts in the tread of my track tires and debated dropping $650 to replace the rear pair prior to a recent track day event. After contemplating "winging it", I decided I'd be pretty pissed at myself for crashing a $15K car because I was too cheap to replace a cut tire!
