Default Anyone running 245's on the front?

Was thinking about going w/ 245/45/17 NT555's on the front and 275 555R's on the rear. I have a 98 WS6 w/ the stock 17x9s. If so got pics to share?

The fronts will look stretched as a ****. Just search for pics of stretched tires and that's what it'll look like.

Though the recommended range is 7.5 - 9"....what Latch said. Stretched. Why not the right size? 275?

Here's a pic of my car with 245's front and rear, wheels are 17x9". ... 245mm converted to inches is a hair over 9-5/8", they fit fine no issues.

Thanks Mikey. Got the 245's for the front and 275 DR's for the rear on the way. I'll post up lots of pics of the fronts tomorrow when they're installed.

I live in Myrtle Beach where the roads are about as level as a sand dune. I'm hoping this will help me win the fight I have with the roads here.

I'm due for tires soon and am leaning towards the 245/275 combo. I'm sure it's very subtle, but a narrower tire typically won't chase road imperfections as much. ...Most of the roads here in WI suck.

I'd really like to see some more pics of that setup as well. I'm really wanting to go that route, but just wanna make sure it does make a noticeable difference.

I have 2002 35th anniversary rims. With my spacers up front, I had a little rubbing. Switched to 245/45/17 and now have no issues. No spacers on back, 2002 rear axle with 275/40/17. Really cant tell unless you look really hard.

I ran 245/40-18s on a set of 18x9" wheels on my Sonoma for years, and they didnt look stretched, or out of place.

I run 245/45/17's on a 9.5" C4 corvette sawblade wheel... they still chase the grooves in the road.

1lomaro i cant believe those chase the imperfections in the road as bad as 275's by a long shot, it just wouldn't make sense logically... But i do have to ask, what posessed you to put those wheels on your car? This is only my opinion, and shouldn't count for anything as it is your car, but i really don't think those are good looking wheels on anything, much less a t/a.

I have 245s and 275s on front also. I feel they chase grooves much less than 275s upfront.

They still chase the grooves ... and to each their own... I've rocked them for over 2 years now and they were a hell of alot better than the factory 5 stars that came on the car. But they are coming off the car as I am getting ready to install OE C6Z06 DD wheels on it. Thanks Bradlyj8Z28.

245's on the front, 285's in the back, although now I have 275's out back. And yes, they do grab road imperfections. I will admit that I have to change my steering rack and hoses, but that won't keep the tires from grabbing the road imperfections.
