Default OE wheels 9.5 or 10.5 17's or 18's & best traction tires

Looking to buy some chrome C5's at OEWheels for my '98 z28 M6. Now first of all i don't want to do any kind of modifications, like rolling fenders or banging on anything. 2nd i dont want to spend $200 per tire.

Now i'm thinking about 17's soo i dont have to do any body mods if i get 18's. On the site the widest for 17's is a 9.5 inch wheel, can i do 285's on a 9.5 being safe and looking good ? i want that fat tire look on the rear, but i understand 285's isnt very wide soo i would prob need wheel spacers to get that wide look ? up front i dont care if they are wide or not.

Now what is a good tire that gets good traction ? i would like to get a drag radial but i heard they are hard on stock rear ends.

I'm thinking about these wheels

well i have 9.5/17 w 275 up front (10.5 18/ 295 on backs) on my 2kz28 which work fine (small bfh mod no biggie), 285 out back would look nice and "shouldnt" have to use a bfh or spacers. Keep in mind all cars are a little different, also is your car lowered? also i run BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT in the rear. Only a couple of hundred miles on them but the dry/wet traction is great (a little road noise but my exhaust cuts that out for the most part). Would recommend them to anyone.

What is bfh ? my car isn't lowered and i will probably wont lower it cause the roads in maine suck. that's good to know 285's wont probably need any mods. I will look into those tires thanks!

I guess they dont make 285's for the KDW 2's but i did some research and heard alot of good info about them, i think i will take them in 275's on all 4 tires.

If you're looking for great handling, check out Nitto 555RII. Drag radial tread with soft compound but also stiff sidewalls for improved cornering performance. I ran these in a 275/40/17 all around and was impressed with how well they performed. Picked these up for $174 each from a non-sponsor. Only issue is the manufacturer advises against using the tires in temperatures below 32F due to the soft R compound. PM me for more details.

be sure to post some pics for us to see how it looks. 275's are a very popular choice for these cars. Keep the updates coming

I will defently post up pics. I dont like the looks of the ZR1 wheels, they are too old school are similar to my stock wheels on my '98 camaro. I would love to have nice wide tires on the back but i dont feel like doing any sort of mods to the car.
