Which 15" drag rims for '98-'02 ls1?
Does anyone know what 15" wheels I can use to put some slicks on that will NOT rub the calipers? Please dont say those weld race stars or whatever because those cost $400 each. I am looking for a budget $100 or so rim that weighs around 20lbs or less. i see on jegs there are american racing rims for around this price in 15x8 or 15x10 and they weigh about 18-22lbs but it doesnt say if they will fit the brakes or not.

Racestars are said not to grind and they are on the cheap side, anything that doesnt require grinding is not going to be a budget wheel, even some of the wheels that people say you wont have to grind some people still have to grind a lil, on a budget the prostars, draglites are hard to beat, best budget deal for ya might be racestars and there, on the cheap end, or run a 17,15 combo

Weld and Racestar are two different companies BTW.
Weld Racing does make a "RTS" wheel that can be had with somewhat affordable pricing, around 200-250 each, that are designed to clear OEM LS1 brakes.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Can't have your cake and eat it too. Either pick a 99.99 dollar wheel that you have to grind the **** out of to fit, or step up to the big leagues and buy real drag wheels. If you're just after the "look" then the cheap budget wheel is your friend. If you're actually looking for performance gains, you won't see them with those wheels.
