MT Sportsman SR 26x6x15
What are those of you running this front tire using for air pressure? MT says 35, but that seems a tad low. At 35psi, they have a definite bulge. I don't think weight is a concern on my car, as its tubular everything up front, no ps pump or ac stuff either. Thanks

I have the same tire and issue, currently running about 45 psi and they still bulge a little. Does any one have these and run 50 or 55 psi? I am bringing the fronts off the ground a bit at the track and do not want to have any issues but would like to get rid of the bulge. Maybe I need to buy a different set of skinny's but having a hard time finding a radial.

I always ran 40psi in any skinny tire I ran up front. They all will bulge since the weight cant be distributed over a wide patch of rubber with a stiff sidewall. M/T also recommends the 1573 for 3,000#+ cars since its an 8 ply tire. It still bulges some but is tougher and more heavy duty.

I was just thinking that because the 6652's are a radial and not bias ply, that they might be a bit more tolerant to pressure increases. I guess we'll see how things pan out.

wonbadz28, are you running the MT Sportsman SR's at 50psi? I have them in 26x6x15 and think 50 psi would be great but have not tried it.
Also, does anyones Sportsmans SR's pull one way or another even with a good algnment? I bought a bump stop kit to install to help with the front end being lowred a bit with adjustable coil overs. The bump steer is not bad but thought it may help with the tire pull. Not sure if this is consistant with any skinny's up front? Car drives straight as an arrow on the stock size tires with 17's.
Any other 26x6x15 tires out there that are radials that anyone uses?

As far as bump steer, I too am lowered w/ adj. coil overs and do not have any issues. However, I think I do need an alignment, it doesn't pull per say, but my steering wheel is off.

thanks for the reply, my first set of tires really pulled, even had them balanced on a run out machine and proved the tires were junk. This set ballanced a little better but could still see some excessive run out in one of the tires. The machine proved the wheels where within spec and balanced the set according to best tire position and wheel combination.
I think I will increase pressure and see what happens on both. I would almost thin I could off set the pressure fron left to right to compensate for the pull but not sure I want to mix pressure settings up front as it goes straight at wot.
