Default Need tire suggestions

Right now I have vette wheels on my car ( I think they're c5 replicas but I'm not sure) 17 fronts 18 rears. I think the fronts are 8.5 wide and the rears are 9.5 maybe 10. Bought the car with these wheels so I dont know all the specs for sure.
Anyways, I want a good all around tire thats good and safe on the street, will hook at the strip, and can grip the corners if I decide to do an auto x event or track day in the future. I know this is a lot to ask haha but any recommendations would be appreciated. Currently have 275s on the back but I would like to go as wide as possible. Will 295s or maybe 305s fit?

I'm running a 285 with zero issues, you could probably run a 305 in the rear with no issues, but bigger then that, and you may start needing BFH mods and or fender rolling, etc......some people run a 315 in the rear with minimal modification, most of which are free, like the BFH mod...

Cool thanks. Mine is 9.5 and I'd like to go with 295s. Possibly 305s if no modification is needed. Still waiting on someone to give me some good tire suggestions.

I have heard of people running 315's on 10.5 and 11's on stock suspension with just fender rolling...if that helps .

Also, Nitto 555's is what I am running and I will say on my mostly stock WS6 the 275/285 stagger is more tire then I actually need at the moment, but they don't make a 555 in a 295 or 305. its like 275/285/315 or something..... correct me someone if I am wrong.

They do have them in a 295 but not 305. The 555r is available in a 305.
