Default New Wheel Set Up!! And NO NOT VETTE!!!

I've been wanting to change my set up for a while and wanted something with a lip but since new wheels are so expensive I couldn't go that route. Plus i just bought new tires so I needed something that will be different and will work with the tires i just purchased. As far as option i was limited to an 18 inch wheel because of my BBK.

SO I decided to sell my C6 replicas to help toward the purchase of my new wheels and after looking long and hard i settled for some M5 parallel; they fit my criteria of an 18 inch wheel, staggered with a lip. My only concern was that i might need to use spacers and that they would stick out to far. I searched here and found a guy who actually ran the M5 parallel without spacers.

Let me know what you guys think?

So heres is how they looked mocked up for clearance of the BBK.

The final product mounted with tires.

Looks real good!! I wanna do the same thing and get rid of my C6Z06 wheels but like you the tires on them are still real good and I wanna try and find some 17's to just replace wheels but that's damn near impossible with 17's

Look into BMW wheels they have almost the same bolt pattern and for a 17 they usually go for cheap. Mine are OE so they weight about 5-7 lbs. less than the replicas.

Yeah, I'm keeping a look out on CL but all the 17's that come up are ugly as hell hopefully some good ones come around

Looks good, I've thought about getting a set, painting them gloss black and using them for winters. Did you weigh them? And what year car are they off of and offsets please. Thanks.

They'e off a 2000 M5 and weight about 23 pounds for the 18x9.5 and 21.6 for the 18x8; The offset i believe is 13mm front and rear is 20mm. No Spacer needed in the rear; only the front so it can clear the BBK; i believe it will sit flush with the fender.

Thanks I've been wanting to try these wheels for a while. Finally decide to take the leap after seeing a member here do it.
