I got tired of polishing, so something new is on the horizon.

Powdercoated CCW's?

Yes. I got tired of polishing, especially after you start polishing it only shows more and more scratches.

LOL- first guy nailed it....

Can't wait to see the next set- you always have something badass.

I do have a question though. Love the raised roof garage and the lift...but how do you get the sedan out of the shop, to lower the lift?

FYI, I'm keeping the CCW T-10s, just having them powdercoated.

I simply back the car out of the garage, then lower the lift then back the T/A out.

I think he was asking how you open the garage door to back the car out, with a car on the lift, as it appears the garage door would hit the TA when it opens.

Anyways, what color powdercoat? I had my CCW centers Titanium anodized. SOOO much easier to clean, and looks better IMO. Now all I have to do is polish the lips, and I'm thinking about having those chromed for easier maintenance.

Yep that is what i was asking.

Can't wait to see the new setup.

The garage door was converted to a high lift setup, so the door actually opens above the t/a and stops just shy of the rear window. It looks close, but trust me, it fits perfect. Lots of measurements were taken prior to completing this project.

Looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Might motivate me to have my centers done.

Well, I was very close to having the rears widened in order to run a 305 tire. The CCW's came along at a deal I couldn't refuse and jumped on them. The nice benefit is they are a good bit lighter than the Ruff's were as well as stronger. Heaven forbid I hurt a wheel, at least I know I can get a replacement.

It was THE best car mod I ever did. I wanted a 3 car garage when we were buying our house, and compromised for a 2-car plus lift.

....can't wait for pics.Should look good.

Love that finish! I have polished FM5's and I'm probably going to go the same way. It's tiring to drive less than an hour, just so you can polish for 2!

The Alchemist Apr 12, 2013 10:44 AM

Wait till you see these wheels in the light. Just like the color of my car, light pewter mettalic, these wheels catch sunlight and look phenominal and have a cool metallic pearl effect. The color isn't quite black, it's more of a mix between gunmetal grey and black. Should look really good on my car I think.

So the color of the wheels looks is really close to the Pewter color of you WS6? What is the specific color if you don't mind me asking? I think I'm going to do this to my 505a's.
