Default Help: 17x11 lifted my ride

So these are my mods:
Eibach pro kit
Bilsteins
Umi panhard

Just installed 17x11 zr1 with 315/35 tires. Grinded bump stop and not sure if BFH will be needed. My problem is that once on the ground it is now sitting approx 4-5" higher than it used to in the rear. I have quadruple checked to make sure the rear was not hung up on anything and also pushed down on the rear to check spring rate, no issues.

Any help would be much appreciated. 2 hours of searching and no answers

4-5" higher? Then something is most definitely binding. The 315/35 is no taller than stock.

If you could post a picture under the car that would be useful.

have you tried to roll the car to make sure the inner tire isnt rubbing the inner fender. i agree it sounds like something is definitely binding up there

did you tighten suspension parts with th suspension unloaded , that could cause the problem or something could be installed wrong .

Good lord, 4-5" higher, something is in a bind. There is no possible way just swapping to a 17x11 with a 315 would raise the height, especially not with the lowering springs installed. Hell you wouldn't even gain that much height swapping to 19" wheels, LOL.

I'd be looking over my suspension again, it's definitely not the wheels/tires.

Cut bump stop of for just ground it? I bet the bump stop section of the car itself is sitting on the lip of the wheel.

I bet your springs are not sitting in the pockets on the body.

Even if the springs were sitting on top of the pockets that wouldn't raise the rear but an ich or so.

I'm having a hard timing imaging the LCAs would even connect if the car is 4" in the air?

I would say its the bumpstop bracket is getting caught on the back part of your wheel. Get up under there and see! lol

I'm guessing the wheel is sitting on the bump stop. I'm guessing you put the wheels on with the suspension unloaded and the bumpstops cleared and when you loaded the suspension by lowering the car the bumpstops hit on the tire on wheel. Clearance the bumpstops more or remove them. Mine have been gone for 6-7 years and never had a problem. When i put on my 17x11 i couldnt get the wheels on unless the suspension was loaded since the bumpstop sits inside the wheel. so i removed them.

So he registered just so he could post his question I assume. Doubt he'll be be back. Shame, I would have loved a pick of his car jacked up 5 inches in the back and would also like to know what the car was stuck on. Personally I would have spent the time he spent searching on the internet actually looking for the problem. My two cents.

Put some weight on the back of the car it is just hanging on the bump stops.

Pics would be awesome. I had black 10.5 z06 wheels on my car, with the pro kit about 4 years ago. I cut out the bump stops. Around corners The wheels would rub on the inner wall of the wheel well. 11's I can only imagine. If the car is raised 4-5 inches, that sounds like you could crawl under the back, enough to see if anything is hitting. Get under it and see where its rubbing. Im sure its making scuff marks somewhere.

yea and dont get under that car or stick your head in the wheel well unless you put a few jacks or cinder blocks under it first... i can see it now he gets under there and the car falls on him.
