Nitto 315's With all the searching there is still no clear cut answer so post any experiences. Will the Nitto 315's fit on a 17 x 10 wheel since I hear Nitto's sizes are actually smaller than other tires? If not will the Nitto 275's fit funny on the 17 x 10 rim? If it looks too small for the rim there's no point in getting the 555R's. Thanks! |
yes they will. i just bought some for my 11 inch ttII's. |
Nitto says 10.5" minimum wheel width . . . . |
If anyone has pics of their Nittos that would be great to help me decide if they look ok. Please state which size they are too so I know which ones I'm looking at. Thnx! |
Im wondering this also....... im going to get another set of iForged wheels, but this time in 17's and ill be running 17x10's out back and i want to use a 315/35 also. Kyle |
are the 315's that much better in handling given 275 tires up top? or even 245-50-16's? How does the staggered 275/315 affect the cars handling? it seems like the wider tires in back might alter the geometry of handling kinda like swaybars? yes no maybe? |
Yes, you can put 315's onto a 10" wide wheel. Someone has put them on a 9.5" wide wheel just fine, looked kinda funny though. I think you will need to adjust the pressure in your tires since the sidewalls will bulge a little bit. What that pressure is I'm not sure. Nitto's are indeed slighly smaller widthwise than other tires due to differing measuring techniques. A 315 drag radial will not provide that much added traction over a 275 drag radial. It's mostly for looks.

Nitto says 10.5" minimum wheel width . . . direct from their website I don't give a crap "what people have done . . " it is still wrong, still against manufacturer recommendations, and bottom line - DANGEROUS! This one is closed. |
