Default Probably a stupid question.......does Ford wheel bolt pattern fit FBody.....?

I'm wondering because this is one of the best looking wheels I've ever seen.

.....CAN WE MAKE THIS RIM FIT OUR HUB WITH A CONVERSION OF SOME KIND?...

Default Nope

No, Ford is 5x114.3 and F Body is 5x120.65 but I do believe you can buy some kind of a spacer conversion that would work or just swap out the whole thing...

Even with an adapter it wouldnt fit. the BS on a mustang wheel is like 5", on a camaro with a 9.5" rim width is like 7", you would need a narrowed rear or wide body.

I'm not up on offsets and how they work.

As you saying that if I used a 3/4" thick adapter that the wheel would stick out too far from the body...?

Cobra wheels are 32/48
C5 Deep Dish are 52/54

So......the rear wheels are only 6mm difference. So wouldn't a 3/4" thick adapter counter some of that and move the wheel a little more outward, which is what I want because of the widened rim on the inside of the rim...?

For the fronts.....wouldn't a 3/4" spacer make them just about the same position as the C5 rims would be...?

......OR....am I totally missing how this **** works......LOL.....

Here is a site explaining how offset on wheels work.
If you are looking for a quick answer and don't want to google anything.
You can just type in "5x114 to 5x120 adapters" on google and you will probably find what you are looking for. Or google wheel adapters and I'm sure a company will pop up and make them to your specifications. I paid $120 to fit 4x114 wheels on my 4x100 miata hub and that was a 1 inch spacer.

That's the least of your worries though. The point at which the hub attaches on the wheel is further inside the wheel on the mustang wheel than the stock gm wheel. If you were able to put the wheel on there with the 1 inch adapter (20mm) You are going to end up with an offset of 12/28 and are going to shred your fenders and make your car look ridiculous. You would have to narrow your rear end or put on a wide body and modify the fenders in order to make it driveable.

I have a set of 17" aftermarket "Cobra R" wheels that came with a 97 WS6 convertible parts car I bought last year. They have the 5 x 4.75" bolt pattern and the correct offset for 4th gens. They look like your first pic except mine don't have those rivets or whatever. They are chrome, but the chrome is getting rough. I was planning on blasting them and then either plasti-dip or silver wheel paint. Haven't even tried cleaning them up to see how the chrome is yet. LOL I'd let them go cheap if you are interested.

Ok did some verification and to get, lets say an FR500 18x10 wheel to fit the rear, you would need to have 40-55mm offset. These wheels come with 28mm, so basic math tells you to come up with atleast another 12mm or they will be sticking out a lot.

You're left with 2 choices, widebody to cover it up or narrow rearend

Thats just to get the wheels at the right offset, next the botl pattern is wrong and you need an adapter, they are at least 3/4'' so that ADDs to the already wrong offest, increasing the 12mm + 3/4" = Too lazy to do

Trust me I want FR500s bad on my camaro but its not worth the cost and time for me personally.

Thanks for the info.

Man that sucks....those Cobra R rims are just simply amazing looking....

I was actually going to have Strange narrow my rear end so I can use Boze rims.

So, you're saying I would basically need to shorten each axle by 1 1/4" to make these fit...?

Depends on the size of your adapter. If you get a 1" adapter then you would need to take 2" off each side to put the wheel where it should be.

~1.1" + (adapter size) = Amount to take off each axle
