Default Help street/strip wheel setup. Bias ply 4.5" fronts with 28" rears(tubes in front?)

So I'm getting my Billet Specialties street lites in a week or so. They are 15"x4" fronts and 15"x10" single beadlock rears anodized black. I want to run a little taller of a tire but also retain my ABS. Since it seems as though the magic number is to stay within 1" of tire height difference front to rear I've been researching different options to keep it. I intend on street driving the car but also running at the strip. Mods are in sig, car will be making 850-900whp on high boost this winter(more to come later). Currently at 730whp/920wtq. My best time on 17" 275" fronts and 17" 295 DR rear is 10.4@134mph on spring pressure with a 1.6 60'.

Fronts - 27" tall M&H Racemaster Bias Ply 4.5" tires.

These were the only tires I can find that would fit my new wheels, are 27" tall, and DOT approved. However I know nothing about tubes and whether or not they are truly required. SummitRacing says they are, but M&H make no mention about it and actually the only place I can find that mention it is Summit Racing.

Fronts (Alternative) - 27.5"(actual 27.3") tall MT ET Front Bias Ply 4.5" tires.
These are another tire that is slightly taller than the M&H, but it doesn't require tubes but it also isn't dot approved

Rears - 28"(actual 27.8") tall MT ET Street 295/55-15 Drag Radial.
I think these will fit a-ok. I'm running a 27" tall MT ET on my 17" wheels now and am very happy with them so figure i'd get something equivical for my street lites.

Wear isn't as much of a concern as long as I'm not going through my fronts faster than my rear DR's. I'm hell bent on 28"s in the rear because I have an s60 with 3.54 gears and want to trap in the 140's. If I want a lower gear I need a different rear end(9").

What are your guys thoughts on this setup. Am I missing any great candidates for a front tire that still fits my requirements? Would the 27" or 27.3" fronts fit alright or would I need to remove/modify the liner?

One of my buddies is getting me a deal on them but I can't say how much sorry. Thanks for the input. I have no doubt the rears will fit. Just trying to figure out if the fronts had worked out for anyone else.

I wouldn't mix the bias ply and radials if you plan to drive it on the street at all. Even at the track, I'd tend to not mix.

If anything, run a bias ply on the rear for your power levels... Or the MT ET Radial Pro 275/60-15s... that's a better tire than the regular ET Radial and is 28". Link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mt...1536/overview/

Front MT Sportsman S/R 28x6-15s would work and are a radial: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mt...0407/overview/

I hear this quite a bit, but from what I gather if you have a bias ply up front and a radial in the rear it's a-ok. Not so much if vice versa.

As for that 275 is that tire really that much better than the MT ET 295 I have linked above? Do you think I could fit that S/R 28" up front? I am open to removing my inner liner if that is needed, just don't want to rub terribly. It's on stock springs up front with adjustable shocks. Stock front suspension.

I don't know if the 28 would fit. It's fairly narrow, and if you aren't lowered a ton, it might work.

And yes that 275 is better than the 295.

bump for more input. Buying soon so really need to figure out what front runners to get. Still leaning toward the MT's that measure in at 27.3" tall
