Anyone ever seen the magnesium Corvette wheels on a Z28? I woner how they would look on my Sebring Silver 2002 Z28.

Not his car.

It is Bille's (in red hat) car, formerly with GMMG, spent alot of time working on the performance end of the GMMG cars, I beleive he moved on to run a business of his own.

I think they would look like crap on silver. Because the rims are pewter colored. They probably would look good on any color but silver. My Dad has a pewter C5 with silver 5-spokes and they don't match at all. He needs chrome wheels bad!

I would like to et a set of those for my Pewter T/A. One thing i always wondered though is can magnesium be polished??? Is so that might be a very intersting look.

that isn't the magnesium color you see on the wheel, its pewter paint. Magnesium oxidizes worse than steel and must be coated/painted or it will rust badly.

Very true.
you also have to worry about cracks, they crack much easier than alum. You would be better off having regular alum c5 wheels powdercoated.

i thought about using them on my NBM car and matching the stripes to wheels but i didnt like the way the wheels looked.
