Switched my ugly wheels to black firehawks on trans an 4 Attachment(s) This is my sons car. It came with ugly wheels. I wanted gold firehawks so I bought these. They are powder coated black. I'm going to dip them gold but later, I like the black. The before pic is included |
Nice improvement! Consider just adding a gold pinstripe to the black wheels. |
Where would I get a gold pinstripe for wheels. That's something I haven't thought of. I have gold stripes for the hood and oem gold trans am letters for doors. |
look clean. i did plastidip vintage gold on my oz monte carlo rims and it came out great. also did the emblems and vents. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f9...ps1x2auszq.jpg |

I have to agree with you. Those before wheels are pretty ugly. They don't look good on this car. Adding the gold accent to the car will make it look good, IMO. |
Any thought of doing the brake calipers gold instead? Be more subtle and now that you see them so easily they need to be painted anyway. You could paint the calipers gold and get some black trans am lettering to go on them. Either way I would be making painting calipers (even if it's just black or "cast" silver) and rotor centers ASAP. Clean nice looking car, you don't want the rust standing out. |
I agree. Powder coat those calipers and get some nice rotors. |
Looks good. I love the black on black look. |
He could use a gold finish G2 Brake Caliper Paint System Set TireRack has them. http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/acces...tail.jsp?ID=41 |
Thanks for the comments and advice. I will be getting new rotors in a few weeks. Will try to paint the calipers also. |
Looks good. |
