Default looking for a 315/35/17 for daily driving

Looking for a decent tire for a daily driver without breaking the bank. I tried the htrz but they offered no traction and only lasted a year due to bad wheel spin in first in second.

I had Toyo TQ DRs. Have 18k miles on them. They're at about 65% tread left and DD'd them even in the rain for over a year. But I drove cautiously in the rain. I cut a low 1.7 on them with less than optimal suspension.

Nitto NT555 is what I use on my SS for daily driving in rain or shine.

This was going to be my suggestion also. Like I mentioned in a different thread, I have the 555's on the front and Toyo TQ's on the back, but if my car was a dd or saw any rain id have the 555's on all 4.

Yea the 555s are a solid choice. I never had an issue with my TQs in the rain but they are a DR and things can happen.

Yeah I drive to much for Dr's and they are way to soft. I'm starting to thing about a higher mileage tire since most aren't gonna offer decent traction so I might as well go for longevity.

Yup pretty hard to have your cake and eat it too. I still think my 18k miles is damn good for a DR that's been put through it's paces. I bet I could get up to 22-24k. Like others said go 555s

Yeah it rains way to much to rock a dr for a dd.

Anyone have any feedback about the Mickey Thompson street comp tires?
