Default seeking street/drag strip tires

Supercharged GTO... need i say more

My rear wheels are Beyern Mesh 18x9.5. Cant remember the offset (manufacturer TSW).

My previous rear tires where Nt01s.
275/40 18
They lasted me 20k miles and surprisingly did well in heavy rain for me. low and behold I learned they are not ideal for drag racing. I feel that because of the wrong tire I am probably leaving time on the table at the strip.

I want an aggressive sticky street/strip tire for a daily driver. I dont mind noise. Longevity and wet performance all depend on the driver IMO. Any recommendations from the community?

Technical question...

My wheel/tire combo results in a more than 1 inch increase in wheel/tire height effectively giving me a taller rear end ratio. Would it be beneficial to go from 275 to 255. Resulting in returning to original stock tire height. More acceleration capability but slightly less contact patch.

Mickys, yeah i did look at those, but aren't they wrinkle wall tires? That is kind of dangerous when taking corners on the street.

Pretty sure Mickey does a minimum advertised pricing deal with its vendors. Meaning you cant cut anyone else's throat on retail price. I think this because everyones price is exactly the same across the board. There dont seem to be any deals to be had....
