Default Switch to a 15" wheel/tire on the street to hook 550rwhp?

Current tire is on a 18x10 c5 Z06 wheel, is 305/40/18 (28") Nitto 555R for the street and is OK when having nitrous fun. Blows the tires off at any speed below 40mph.

What is the best option here?

Switching to a stickier tire like a Hoosier or MT radial in a 28" size on my 18" wheel (ideal for me)

OR

buy a 15" wheel and throw some 28" MT on it?

Again, I'd prefer to keep the 18" setup to daily drive, but if i do that I need a sticker tire. Suggestions for a 18x10 wheel?

Sizes and brand that you guys have had experience holding 550rwhp+ on the street from low rolls.

305/35/18 MT Radial should handle it if it'll hook. Whats the suspension consist of?

Car has:

adj panhard bar
Adj LCA's with rod ends
LCA relocation brackets
UMI Torque arm w/crossmember relocation bracket

Front shocks/springs are Koni sports with ground control coilover setup with 300lb afco springs

Rears are Koni sports with cut stock springs with isolators removed.

That should work well enough with those tires (the 305/35 MTs mentioned) to net you some 1.6 60s if that converter hits pretty hard

I'm a big fan of more sidewall. My set-up is 17x7 front and 15x10 rear on MT's

I agree with ragtopz28. What you could do is just buy a cheap set of 15x10 rears with a some sticky Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. I have those, and my car will hook for days. Then you can roll around on your big street wheels/tires, and throw on the drag wheels when you need them.
