I currently have a 2001 trans am with a Mwc fab 9" narrow 1" total so 1/2" per side. What 15x10 do I need? Jegs said 6.5" . I ordered it and I have about 1.5" clearance from inner wheel lip and the wheel well above the bump stops I cut off. Is that enough? I have a set of Mickey Thompson 295/55r15 to put on.

Im running hoosier dr's 295/55/15 on a standard with 9" with the 7.5" bs. I have to run a 1/4" spacer because i was not able to hammer the inner fender well enough to clear. I have no issues with the bumpstops though

Well if that is the case my 6.5" backspace should be fine.

Your rear being narrowed 1/2'' per side and 6.5'' backspacing is like running a 15x10 with 7'' backspacing. Might stick out a bit.
