Default Wheels won't balance

Got a new to me daily driver about a month ago. The truck had bad vibration in the rear that has gotten worse. I dropped it off to get the wheels balanced hoping to resolve the issue but they were not able to get the rear wheels balanced, they said everytime they put a weight on the wheel it would call for another somewhere else. Any idea what the issue might be? The guy doing the balancing didn't seem to think the wheel was bent and the tires still have a lot of tread on them.

I am thinking of just living with the vibration because I don't want to sink a lot of money into wheels and tires that will be seeing lots of snow and salt. The current wheels look like absolute crap, the aluminum is so corroded that it almost looks like rust

Most likely some sort of fluid in the tire. Water or stop leak...maybe both.

It is either the shop does not know what they are doing, or that the rims are out of round.

The guy didn't seem real knowledgeable so I might try another shop. This place was convenient because I could drop the truck off during lunch and walk back to work.

Otherwise I'll just keep driving it until I can't stand it anymore.

The guy did mention there might be fluid in the tire. They didn't take the tire off to check though because they decided to not work on the truck until 15 minutes before they had to leave and I had dropped it off 4 hours ago

Take it to someone with a Hunter Roadforce machine. A knowledgeable tech with this machine will be able to resolve it unless the wheels are bent.

I think the only place around here with a road force balancer is the local GM dealer and their pricing is ridiculous. Think I'll live with the vibration for the time being. Thanks for the info though

New wheels, new tires, the vibration persists with little to no improvement. I'm thinking bad suspension or bent drive line component at this point. What are the chances of having bent axles on both of my vehicles?

Inspected the universal joints, looks good, rubber is in place and I don't see any play. I did notice a decent amount of play regarding the shaft itself coming out of the transmission, a good 1/16 of inch of movement. No play in either front hub, they both spin fairly smooth. After reading the Chilton manual I'm thinking unbalanced drive shaft.

Also did a tune up, new spark plugs, new air filter, cleaned the MAF and throttle body, checked for vacuum and air leaks. No CEL, engine runs much better but didn't help the vibration.

Another item to check is the wheel bearings.

What is the best way to test them? The front right was replaced right when I bought the truck about 2 months ago. I lifted the front of the truck and tried to pull/push the front wheels by holding at 12 and 6 o'clock but I didn't notice any play and they spin decently smooth other than the grinding of the brakes...I haven't tested the rear wheel bearings yet.

The previous wheels that came on the truck and these new wheels are both aftermarket 16" with 245/70r16 tires. I do not know if I need a centering ring, they are black rock steel wheels. On the website they did state I would need acorn style lug nuts

Just got back from vacation in Tennessee, I drove the truck for 5 hours there and 5 hours back. I have narrowed the vibration down to being non existent below 40mph and then there are certain speeds I can go from 40-80mph that the vibration totally disappears. If I hold it steady at that particular speed I got no vibration but as soon as I slow or speed up the vibration sneaks back in. For example, 40mph to 64mph I had vibration but right as I hit 65mph the vibration would totally disappear.
