Should I get all one size or should i get bigger rears?
So I was looking at finally ditching my ZR1s that came on my 99 SS. Was looking at 17x9.5 Torque thrust on all 4 corners. My car is geared more for handling and not so much drag. Should I stick with 1 size all 4 corners or should I do bigger rears?
Also any idea on what tires to look into, i might do a autocross event or a track day so I dont want to be super cheap.

IF you care about handling/braking in an f body (and your wanting to do autocrosses/HPDEs/open tracking instead of just drag racing/roll racing/etc. like most everyone else on here, says you DO), DO NOT run the 'staggered' look most on here crave.
Your braking AND handling WILL suffer, as most of the weight in these cars is up front, even on cars which were lightened, and had some weight shifted to the back with hatch mounted batteries and such.
Most of the people into handling think that even a 275/40 17 up front is way too little tire for the ~57% weight bias up front, and is exactly WHY they go with 315/30 17 gumball R compounds, and HUGE front sway bars with at least Koni Sport single or double adjustable shocks, and at least 600 lb./in. springs.
As far as 'street' tires (200 treadwear and above) in 275/40-17 go; the Nitto NT-05s are good, as are the Toyo Proxes R1Rs.
The BFG Sport Comp 2s are good, but they will NOT be as sticky as the above tires, but will wear somewhat better.
IF you want to step up to a slightly less 'streetable' (quicker wearing, will pick up more 'shrapnel' from the roads) sticky road course type of tire, the 100 treadwear class is a good compromise; Toyo R888/RA1, Nitto NT01.
The FULL R compound, less than 100 treadwear (0-80 treadwear), race gumballs; Toyo RR, BFG R1/R1S, Hoosier A7/R7, Hankook Ventus Z214, etc. are USELESS for the street, as you will DIE on anything more than damp pavement (most are FULL slicks), and will pick up EVERY SINGLE piece of sharp crap that WILL puncture your $250.00+ each tires, besides getting less than 4000 miles (IF you are lucky, and easy on them!) wear out of them.

The lightest OEM style wheels (and lightest of almost ANY wheels in 17x9.5, (save for the crazy expen$ive full racing wheels; CCWs, HREs, etc.) are the original/real GM C5 Z06 wheels, but you would have to find four fronts, and they are costly, and not everyone loves the looks, either outright, or because so many f body owners have them on their cars already.
I don't know what you consider "good looking" as that is VERY subjective, and means different things to everyone.
(i.e.; most on here love the polished, chrome, 'blingy' look, and I HATE that,
I actually like some of the fully painted "ricer/import look" (to many on here) wheels, and most on here when they see those on ANY car. Just as an example.)
