Default Will 16 wheels fit a camaro ss?

It looks like the v6, z28, and ss's had the same brakes but cant confirm. So would factory v6 16" wheels fit an SS?

Would 15" wheels have a chance of fitting? Even just the back? 3rd gen wheels?

Looking for winter wheels for my SS. I though this bolt pattern was more popular, but it seems to be just GM specific.

There are no 15" wheels that will fit over the stock brakes, as far as I know.

The factory, and other (cheap alloys in 16x7 from Tire rack, etc.) WILL fit on the SSes and WS6es.

I would not go any narrower than a 225/55-16 winter/ice/snow tire on the 16x8s (which is what I've done in winters past), but being where you are located, especially if you are inland, and NOT on the coast, I would go for 16x7s with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s in 215/60-16 on them, as they say this coming winter in the northeast will be one for the ages.

Nokian also makes this tire in the 225/55-16 size as well, if you want to use any of the factory/replica 16x8s.

Any wheel that will fit a Z28/base TA/Formula will also fit a WS6/SS. There is NO difference in brake components between the base V8 cars and the WS6/SS cars.

I also had dual LS1 4th gens at one point, one for show and one for daily driving. For winter the DD had 16x7.5" aftermarket wheels from Tirerack, with 225/55/16 Blizzak WS60s, the car was unstoppable in Chicago winters. I wouldn't hesitate to do this again, other than the toll all that nasty weather took on the undercarriage and engine bay - but driving the car in snow was no problem at all.

Ideally, I'd suggest the 16x7s with a 215/60 tire as mentioned above. For snow/ice traction, you want to concentrate as much weight as possible over a smaller contact patch (to cut though packed snow, etc.) for best traction. So in this case, narrower wheels and tires are preferred vs. wider. But again, I had no issues with 225/55 on a 16x7.5". Just make sure to go with a TRUE snow/ice tire rather than all-seasons.

Thanks. Yea, i plan to go narrow if possible. I wanted to try and get some wheels at the junk yards but looks like f body wheels are the only factory ones that will fit. And those are 8" wide minimum from what i see.

I have been driving a 1995 t-bird with 215 artic claw tires. Def no problems with that setup.

The V6 steelies are 16x7.5 but are kinda hard to find. I've got my slicks mounted on a set and they fit fine over my LT1 rear brakes.
