Don't buy 19s (maybe)
Got some 19'' tsw's with 75% tires for dirt cheap on Craigslist and I mean dirt so I thought what the hell slap them on burn them out and sell them for even more... Well I swapped them out at work and drove about 20 mins back to my house and put my stockers right back on. It was shitty every pothole and manhole cover was awful.
Looked goofy as **** without the thinner tire in the front too, rear looked awesome.

Personally i dont think the 19"s are the problem, its those ugly *** confused HP evo wanna be rims you bought that are the problem. Too bad those arent thruxtons or another model of TSW rims bc i think the title of this thread would be different otherwise.

Totally agree, I rode once with a guy who had 19s installed, not only they looked out of place, but they felt terrible as well. In my opinion 18s is the max 4th gens should install.

I also agree. 19"-and-up look improper on these cars. In general, 17" is the "right" size for a 4th gens IMO, but I have seen a few 18" wheels that looked nice with the proper ride height. Though even some 18" wheels are questionable.

Let's not all forget, the bigger the wheel, the slower the car generally (wheel weight). Not to mention pricey tires. Bigger wheels are also more prone to being bent, and the tires blowing out the sidewall.

Appearance wise, with perfect suspension setup larger wheels can look amazing, IMO.
I agree, on Camaros 18/19 is the max highest I would go. Here is Brennen's01SS with 18/19
Trans Ams, on the other hand, can pull off a larger 19/20 look (HotWhipT/A)

^ The 19s and 20s above look too big IMO, there just isn't enough tire sidewall and the wheels are too large for the body of the car. Both cars would look much better with 18s all-around or a 17/18 combo.

That I can agree with. I look at the cars in this thread with 19/20" wheels and my first thought is how much better they would look with slightly smaller wheels. The 18s look nice on a lowered car, otherwise 17" is better IMO. I still have not seen a 19 or 19/20 combo that looks good to me.

The problem with 17s nowadays is that good/great tires (street/handling, NOT DRs) for them are getting harder and harder to find, and given the trend to dubs and larger on FACTORY cars now, 17s will eventually disappear!

Yeah I agree trust me if they where staggered with 18s in the front they would still be on the car. But for a DD the ride was rough! (Quality suspension would help) Also braking was drastically worse. Though like you said they felt about as heavy as the stock 16'' 5 spokes which shocked me.
