how much can 275/60/15 hurt speed?
Im pushing 400rwhp in my T/A and I want to run 15in billet specialties with a 275/60/15 mickey thompson tire. I was wondering how much power would I lose from running this over a 275/50/15. IMO the 275/60/15s look so much better. Thanks in advance.

As said above, it's not so much a power loss as it is an effective loss of gear ratio/mechanical advantage.
If there is a significant tire diameter difference between front and rear, this will be a concern/problem.

Tons of variables on this subject but I switched to a 275/60 this year. Didn't seem to hurt the car at all. My car is around 400rwhp I do have 410 gears and a big converter tho. I still have my 275/50's. I might slap them on some wheels and switch them at the track. Try to get back to back comparison.
