Default Question on 315 tire

Ive been looking at several 315's. The Eagle F1 GS-D3 seems to be the nicest, but expensive as hell. My question are the Mickey Thompson street comp 315's any good? Are they wider than Sumitomo 315's?

I have the 315 Mickey Thompson street comps on my bird, and yes they are wider than the sumitomo 315. I am very happy with them and have not had any issues. The price when i got them was $165 each i believe. They may have gone up. I think for the price they cant be beat. Traction is good and they are quiet, plus they look good.

Dont do Sumitomo! Look up Simple Tire,, best prices around. Got a set of 275/35/18 325/30/19 Cooper RS3-S for 780$ delivered. Their Goodyear's were about 300$ cheaper than most others!

Do you have any pictures from the rear with those tires?

Do they still make the Eagle F1 GS-D3?

I've only run drag radials on my car. Even they don't hold on the street. So good luck with regular tires.

Yeah, they still sell the GS-D3 all over.
They may not hold up that well but they last much longer than DR's.

GS-D3s....best tire I ever had for a full street radial. Dry traction is insane, it actually worked better than 315 BFG drag radials did on my car when I had my 436ci stroker and 500 RWHP/500 RWTQ. Wet traction was also amazing.

They were expensive 4-5 years ago so I went with 315 Nitto 555 Extremes (not the drag radial). Almost as good as the GS-D3 in traction. But the Nittos were onoy like $170.00 each.

They both lasted me 15,000 miles.

I got the rims and tires on the car, just thought I would share it. Don't mind the paint still needs repaint and I plan to lower it later.

Thanks man! I love the way they ride, grip is pretty good. I would buy them again for the price.

I have the MT street comps on the front of my TA. Have had them about 1.5 yrs. they have performed well for some good back road fun but I can easily push them past their limit on some very tight low speed turns.

They have good tread rating as well. I'm most likely going to buy them for the rears soon. My sunitomos just aren't cutting it anymore.

Are those 315s in the back on those zr1s?
