Ive heard others say this about the chrome OE Wheels, but Ive had my chrome ZR1's from OE Wheels for 3 years now and they are holding up fine. Of couse the car is a weekend/summer toy though.

I think many people think that chrome should stand up to any weather and that is simply not the case. Having working for Discount Tire for 7 years, I can tell you that NO chrome wheels last unless they are for summer/dry weather only. Every OEM chrome wheel, every aftermarket chrome wheel, they all begin to pit and flake. If the car is ever going to see winter or even wet seasons, chrome is not the way to go.

You should see my oem chrome 5 spoke wheels. They were mint when I bought my car. 3 Winters in PA is all it took and they're flaking all to hell. Luckily I have a truck for the salty slush mess now.
