Default Whats the biggest tire you can put on back without modifications

I am thinking about going to a 18x10.5 inch wheel for the back and was wondering whats the biggest tire you can fit on the back without modifications, etc.

that wheel size is going to determine how big you can go with the tire. generally wouldn't go with more than a 305 on a 10.5 inch wheel, 295 being the sweet spot. plenty of guys running 315's on these cars but mostly on 11" wheels. offset will also determine whether or not you'll have to do any mods to fit. I have 18x10.5 welds with 295 tires on all 4 corners of my car and had to do a little hammering in the rear and rolled the fenders. no mods for the front
