All that needs to be done is cut the lower and middle ridges out and then flatten the top ridge. Like I pictured in my first post. Then do what JROC did.....weld in 16 gauge steel plates on both sides and you're done. My welder will charge me $150.00 to plasma cut the steel plates and weld them in for me.
Thats really all that stops 335/345 tires on 12.5" wide rims from fitting. And yes.....some free Big *** Hammer hits for about 5 minutes on each side to the upper inner wheel wells are needed.....and thats it.
AND......buy offset LCAs......$220.00 Spohn or Wolfe. Spohn gives more clearance but either will be fine.
$370.00 and it'll be done, without all the cutting and fabbing and ripping out the interior......Thats just not needed at all.
Hoping to get this done after the hurricane passes.
OH-----In my opinion, NO WAY does that Wolfe mini-tub kit leave the structure as strong as it was from the factory.
But I could be wrong. Cutting away those ridges weakens the hell out of that entire area where the top of the shock attaches and the top of the spring is seated. No way would I cut it out without welding a flat steel plate back in there.

But when my 18 x 10.5 rims went on with 315 tires, the guy that put them on did a serious BIG-HAMMER job on it, then primed it all and painted it black. With my 315's with weight on wheels there's like 2 full inches of clearance on the inner side.

must be my offset cause my 295's rubbed and we are running the same wheel I think but you have 2" more width on the inside, was the only reason I asked, granted I think mine could could stand to be spaced out a bit though. My ride height may come into play as well my car sets really low
ive been thinking about the tub which I can do myself but I wanted to narrow my rear end when I do it and considered going to a 19" wheel also.

My car is quite low to, Lou Gigliotti G2 Super Springs.
---But remember.....a guy that put my wheels on when I put my 315 tires on the new 18 x 10.5 rims.....he went nuts with the hammer. Almost did a mini-tub......LOL

^ride tech coilovers, but I think your front may actually be setting lower than mine. yeah the 18x10.5" only came in one offset and thats what I have on all 4 corners. I brought out the 8lbs sledge when I did mine but it still rubbed a bit on a hard turn I also have a 9" rear so maybe its not exactly the same width as stock either. The wheels never disappoint in pics though.
I whacked the t total **** outta mine......then realized I needed to adjust the panhard a bit

Rear is Bilstein shocks with G2 Super Springs.
------When I installed the G2 Super Springs all around the front end was about 1/4" higher than the rear. So the HAL adjustable shocks up front allowed me to put the front end down where I needed it. Car handles awesome, but I don't do anything hardcore like road racing. I'm sure a road racer would think its terrible....LOL.....

Good thread, hopefully it doesn't get totalled like your other one LOL.
Will be interesting to see how different my fitment issues are going to be since mine is probably an inch or so lower in the rear than yours. I'm slacking and haven't started working on it yet. Downpayment is in on the wheels, and rear end will be getting fabbed up in the next few weeks.

I'm not using spacers but your wheels/tires are a little wider than my OEM C6Z setup. The LCA's I run are the Founders poly roto-ball control arms. The pnes with the hard poly ball surrounded by the soft poly rubber to allow them to rotate instead of binding. My tires are close to them but they clear them probably a good 3/8" or so.

BUT....this damn hurricane hammered us. We are fixing things and a lot of people still have no power here. My rental condo that I get when I come home for my OFF periods has no power yet. Staying at my mothers house.
I don't leave for about 3 more weeks.....so I should be able to get it done.

My car is still parked in its storage unit, so I need to get it out tomorrow.
