Vision 571 Sport Star / Jegs SSR Star wheels 17x4.5 15x10 4.5bs Trans Am WS6
I recently installed a set of Vision 571 Sport Star wheels on my Trans Am. Ordered them from Summit Racing. Same wheel as Jegs but we're cheaper at the time. I think they are same price now.
Front's are 17x4.5 with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R 26x6-17. Rear are a 15x10 with 4.5 backspacing and a Mickey Thompson 275/60-15 ET Pro radial. My rear is a 8.8 I built that has been narrowed 3" per side. Midwest Chassis tunnel mounted torque arm, lower arms, panhard bar. Founders Performance panhard relocation bar. I need to clearance the wheel wells some just to be safe and trim bumpstops brackets off. Bumpstops have been unbolted for now.
I'm pleased with the outcome of it. Wheels were around $450 total. I had some Dark Stars but sold them to get these.

I just ordered the same setup for my car except I went 15x8 in the back with a 275/50r15 ET Street S/S waiting for the wheels to come in. I'm going to be selling my C7 Z06 Reps when I get them.

Your setup looks awesome! There is a Mt 295-65-15 radial ss. I would love to try a set as I cant get any reliable 60ft's. But will they fit? There not super wide.. But they are 30"s
My tires Nto5r 315 35 17's 25.7 dia only hook once is a while or not at all babying the throttle. If I hit it hard letting off the brake at 3000rpm It starts to go and then the trans goes 1234 then back to 2 for 1.88 60 ft's. Its a rush. lol. But there's nothing better than a perfect hook on a perfect track. My best on the Nto5r's 1.60. I would hate to go to 28's and not hook but with the 30" + 4:10's is like 3:55's. so I would have to change to 4:56's
28's = 3:80's. How are the Mt 28"s on a really hard launch? Might not even need going to 4.30's If they can stick on a not so perfect track.

On a stock rear, 5.5 will stick out 2 inches. If you use a 5 mm spacer, it will stick out 2 inches, 5mm. If you use a 10mm spacer, it will stick out 2 inches, 10mm. The only way you will get wheel that is 15x10 with a 5.5" backspace to sit flush is if you do what the OP did and shorten the rear end.
