Default nitto 285 40 17 on tt2 10.5?

I am currently running nitto 315 35 17s on my 98 Trans Am that’s been lowered 1 1/2 inches, the fenders have been rolled but I keep rubbing on the inside of the fender when I have any kind of weight in it. I want to be able to use my back seats again, that’s why I’m considering 285s. Does anyone run nitto nt555 g2 285s on10.5” tt2s? I have been told they will fit. How will they do with the 405 rwhp? Is there any difference in how much they run compared to 315s? Any pics?

Why not get an adjustable panhard bar?

Eventually, but as of now, it’s more work than I can do.

Gotcha. Well all I can tell you is that some tires run wider than others in the same exact size, so keep that in mind. So basically some 285's are going to fit better on that wheel than others. Also, I'm willing to bet your straight line won't be very good at all on that tire with 405 rwhp. Just some things to keep in mind

I have the nitto G2's on stock 10 Spock's. 275's up front and I went with 285's out back because my car is over 400rwhp...they hook up ok after warming up, handle well in the turns but not a drag tire IMO. Dead stop I'll leave a killer burnout through second forever if I want. After I burn up the rears I'm going to get some MT's.
