255 50 18 on 1998 trans am

Default 255 50 18 on 1998 trans am

I used to have 255 40 18 on my trans am but it still had some space left, would 255 45 18 or 255 50 18 fit wothout rubbing up front? I currently have my stocks on

I have no idea, and you didn't say front or rear, but I wouldn't do it. Clearance would depend on your wheel offset. The stock tire height is about 26", those choices would put you at 27" and 28". Tirerack has one tire in 255/50R18 and it is $430 each.

I didn't know that a 1998 Trans Am had a stock 18 inch wheel. Mine originally came with 16 inch wheels and I upgraded to a 18x9.5 on all four corners and each has 275x35x18 and I have no issues. As the previous poster stated, it's going to depend on the offset of your rims as well as the rim with itself. And as far as I know, stock tire height than these is around 24 to 25 in

no 4th gen fbody came with 18" rims from the factory, they are either 16's or 17's.
