Default 4th Gen Wheel Fitment

Hey everyone, I am new here.

I understand that there is a thread outlining everything to do with wheel fitment on 4th gens, but I couldn't help but notice the offset fitment on 8.5" rims is much less than 8" or 9" wide. The 8" and 9" is around 55mm, while the 8.5" is labeled as a max of 45mm. Is that a typo? According to that post, I can not put 18x8.5 with +50mm offset on my car. However, that is a size that is guaranteed to fit when I look at Tirerack. Since the thread about fitment has been locked for nearly ten years, I obviously can not ask this there. Will a 8.5" with +50mm fit the front of the car without using a BFH or spacers? Thanks in advance.

Default

8.5 ET50 or ET45 will fit without any issue. Front or rear, that isn't a very wide wheel for these cars. This picture is in the thread somewhere and is a huge help.

FYI I'm running an 18x11 ET 45.
