Default Drag radial size

I have a 02 Camaro z28 the car has 3.73 gears,3800 stall, Texas speed headers/mid pipe, Texas speed 233/239 camshaft, tea ported 241 heads and ls6 intake. My wheels are 17x9 c5 z06 wheels woth 274/40r17 tires and I was wondering what would be the best drag radial size to replace the back ones with and also what brand?

yup, people pull 1.1x 60's on a 275.
I do 1.5x 60's and am planning on 1.4x 60's this spring on a 275/40/17 Hoosier Dr2
The Mt Et SS in that same size will also work well.
I would run a 275 on a 17x9 rim

Tire width isn't what makes traction....its the proper air pressure which makes the tire actual grab the ground like its crawling along it......and pulling itself forward. Look what a wrinkle wall tire does when they go WOT......it gets a LOT thinner as it leaves. I remember a member like 17 years ago that was running 10's on head/cam/tune only in a 1999 Camaro SS.....called "Tom the Roofer", he had a cool write up and video of how a drag type tire actually hooks and grabs the pavement as its spinning.......pretty cool.
