Default Continential extreme contact sport tires

Has anyone used these tires? Looks like the dws is not available anymore. How long Treadwear does the Nitto nt555 g2 last for normal driving? Do they have a harsh ride? Is the sidewalls stuff?

Curious myself. Got decent reviews, described as near performance levels of the Michelin at much lower price. The dws had reviews of faster wear, this new one supposedly lasts longer but time will tell. One guy on here is autocrossing his car w/ them and liked them.

They're on my list, I'm a few months out, have suspension to replace first. Already have new wheels waiting for some new rubber.

I have the Extreme Contact Sports on my car. I had Firestone Firehawks on before and I think these are much better. Maybe not much/if any more grip, but they handle and drive well.

Probably the best overall street tire if you don't want to spend Michelin money

The tire rack says they have a firm ride but that the firehawks have the firmest ride. I don’t want a stiff firm ride. It is just daily driver. Looking at Nitto G2’s as well as Kumho ps51 and toyo extensa HP

Nitto g2’s They say are 20000 tires when I called customer service. I am looking for 30000 or more. There is a new extreme contact continetial dws 06 tire also. But those don’t come in my size.

My step son has them on his 91 Z28 and they are an excellent tire for the money. His car is a weekend car. They handle well and are quieter than my BFG Comp 2's. I like them well enough to buy a set for my 02 Z28 when it's time for tires.

Wife's 2012 caddy cts premium coupe came with the 19" ecs tires from factory. Haven't gotten over 15,000 miles off of 1 yet. I'd say they are similar to other performance Michelins we've had on other vehicles. Past experience with other performance tires has been going any cheaper has been a ride & noise quality regret. These are soft & sticky enough to make loud clunking noises when backing up sharply out of our driveway.

I'm on my second set and absolutely LOVE them on the CTS-V. Honestly, I'd put them up against the Michelin's any day. You can't beat the price and the performance. Extreme Contact Sport's, NOT the DW's.

What kind of miles can you expect from a daily driver with no racing involved mostly highway driving out of conti’s and the Nitto g2’s? What experiences do you have? 20000 seems like a stretch on the conti’s.

That's about right, maybe less. It's all about how you drive the car. But they won't get hard as a rock like the Nitto's, which then turn into ice skates.

What do you mean hard as rock. I drive 10000 miles a year. I had the old firestone Firehawk summer tires from 2015 and got 4 years out of them.

I pretty much echo that sentiment. I had Extreme Contacts on my last SS, and the new version Extreme Contact Sports on my current SS. Both versions have been 100% flawless. I'm not a good gauge for wear as I autocross my car often. I believe I got 11K hard miles out of the prior version and Im sitting at 4K miles on the new version. The front tire tread surface is scrubbed slightly from autocrossing but(and without measuring) the tread looks as good as when I got them. Another plus on these, they are quiet.
