Tire pressure, burnout, launch technique, track prep. More info man...

i bring my tire pressure to 13psi and do a fat burn out and launch at 3000rpm
and stay spinning then i take off.do you think i need air tubes?

Hmm, i got 26 inch et streets and i can pull the wheels off the ground about 1 or 2 feet. I stall to 2500 rpm but if i go any higher i spin off the line. Maybe that is your problem. My converter is a 3800 stall but on these tires i cant stall any higher than 2500. I have ran a 7.27 at 94 with these tires.

contrary to popular belief, Slicks arent the cure all for traction. You still have to know how to drive. Unless you have a full out drag launch suspension, you're still leaving a lot to the driver. Im not saying you cant drive, but youll need to practice different techniques. Find that fine line between bogging and spinning. It sucks to bog a few times and get bad slips, but the practice will be worth it. Do you slip it? Side step it? Straight drop it? Id prolly hold 3k and side step it and then give it hell.

edit.... oops, you are an a4/stall'd car. Slicks old or used? Play with tire pressure a lil bit, and try to hold back on the happy pedal just a touch. Have you tried both a flash stall and a brake stall?

I noticed that getting a good burnout is crucial with the Et's, practice never hurts also. Once you find that "sweet spot" you will never want to run without them. My first time ever on Et's I cut a best of 1.8 60ft now 1.5's are the norm. :drive: Good luck!
