Default 315's and rear axle bumpstop

I put some ZR1s with 315's on the back and if I raise the rear body, and the axle drops down, the top of the rim/tire hits the axle bump stop. it just barely hits. If I jack up the car, I raise the axle so the springs stay compressed and the bump stop is inside the rim area. Just wanting to know if others have experienced this. I could take the rubber stop off but I think that would be a bad idea. I was considering using a BFH to push the bump stop back some but there is a little support piece on the stop that might bend the wheel well a little too.
What you you guys think?
thanks, Kenny

Leave it alone. Unless you plan on a Dukes of Hazzard jump, you will not have any issues.

You could take off the jouncer and the aluminum plate that holds it on and grind off about 1/8th inch and slap it back on. That's what I did to fix that problem.

what is this jouncer is that the rubber bump stop? and the aluminum plate youre talking about, is that the "bracket" that the rubber bump stop is connected to?
on my 99 camaro it looks like the bracket is part of the wheel well.
Thanks for the info

The rubber bump stop is the jouncer, and the aluminum plate is the "bracket that it's connected to. It's got two screws that holds it in place, I forget what size socket you need to take 'em off.
