18's for Rear

Where is the best place to shop for 18's for a 10.5 wheel. I have a chance to get a set of 18 x 10.5 for an awesome deal...just need a resonably priced tire to go on them....is there such a thing as a 'reasonably priced 315 35 18 out there??

You can get a "reasonably priced" 295/35R18 tire. BFGoodrich and Kumho both make an excellent tire in this size (247ea for BFG, 236 for Kumho). I've used the Kumho Ecsta MX on my track Camaro, and they stuck like glue. They also make the matching front sizes, too. If you wanted 315's, you would need a 315/30R18 tire. Michelin and Pirelli are the only ones I know of that make that size in a street tire. They range from 345 (each!) for the Pirelli's up to 413 :eek2: for the Michelin. For 162 each you COULD use Pirelli PZero Corsa competition tires  (wait.....how much rain do you get?) I think your best bet would be to confiscate a car that already has them.

a 315, other than Nitto, will be too large for a 10.5" wide wheel. 305 is the limit, 295 is typical. Look into Goodyear and BFG. I got mine at Tire Rack.

According to their specs, both the Michelin and Pirelli can be mounted to a 10.5" rim.

Wow !!!

Chief freaked out when he saw the sticker on the 275 ZR 17's...

I better go ahead and call the FD and have a medic unit outside his door if I ask for the 18's... :eek2:

there are drag radials in 315's but your best bet is to get a 295/35/18 especially since you will be at high speeds prolly some of the time chasing people...i don't know if they make them but if they do get the g-d3's they are the ultimate street tire!!

The widest 18" tire in the GS-D3 line is a 285/35R18, which will still fit a 10.5" rim. I have GS-D3's, too. Best overall performance tire I ever used. (and I've gone through some tires, let me tell you) What impresses me is the wet traction. Even with 315's in the rear, I still have no problems hauling ass down the highway in the pouring rain. (K9- please ignore the hauling ass part in my last sentence. I obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits :bs: )
