It depends on your definition of "fit". To do it safely you'll need a 17x11.

I would not recommend putting that tire on that size rim.

Since you havn't bought the wheels yet, get the 17x11s if you plan to run 315s in the rear.

315s on a 9.5" wheel won't give you any more tread width than a 275 on a 9.5" because with the 315 it just bulges over.

If I were you, I would stop being such a ***** & put some HRE wheel's w/315 nitto's. If you did that you might be able to finally hook, & wouldn't always lose to all those little old ladies w/ ele. wheel chairs down there in St. Pete. Yea c'mon!
Good to see you on the forums again Matt. This must mean it's finally fixed! Just how much money did Kevin's **** up finally cost you. You should send him the bill. Damn 5.0 mechanics & their vast knowledge of absolutely nothing.

looking at the mods in your sig, you'd better spring for the 17x11's and 315 drags, or else your going to do a sit-n-spin at every stoplight.

but no the 315's are NOT good to run on a 9.5 inch wheel. you are just asking for trouble, plus, like stated above, they will look like balloons. a 315 nitto drag radial is the narrowest 315 tire out there, if you HAD to put a 315 tire on a 9.5" wheel, this is the only one to do. a 315 nitto is about 1.5" narrower than a normal 315 tire (gs-d3 etc)

i'm going to run the 315 nittos on my 17x11 TTII's

Quick Reply: 315/40/17 on a 17x9.5???
