315's mounted...pics within...

I got my tires mounted yesterday. They are Goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3's 315/35ZR17 and 275/40ZR17. They are on torque thrust II's. The fronts weigh ~50lbs and the rears weigh ~54lbs. Without tires they were 22.5lbs and 24lbs.

I will put them on the car tomorrow when the weather is nicer and will post pictures. :)

Those tires look sick. I'd like to see them on your car, what offset and width of the rim?

BTW, i like your avatar and A.P.C.

52lb is what my escalade 22x10 with 345/40/22 wheels are.

Stangkilr Feb 13, 2005 01:16 PM

Damn, your wheels and tires are gonna look sexy! You will love the GS-D3'S.

Arachnotron Feb 13, 2005 01:19 PM

The wheels are 17X9.5 and 17X11 and have a 46mm offset. I'll take pictures from all angles tomorrow.

WS6 Kid Feb 13, 2005 01:27 PM

We'll be waiting. :)

What kind of wheels are they? That's light as hell. My 18X10.5 forged BBS LMs with 275/35/18s weigh 52lbs. :eek2:

2FAST4U Feb 13, 2005 05:24 PM

Enki (sp) F6 forged called "lightest 22". I think my 315 on my camaro are 30 some pounds?

I will have new GFG GF16 3peice race forged wheels in 22"x10" on there soon. They say they are lighter than the forged Enki's. And at $2785 a wheel retail they better be! :eek2:

2MuchRiceMakesMeSick Feb 13, 2005 05:53 PM

Nice tires but they are heavy :eek2:

Stangkilr Feb 13, 2005 07:56 PM

Those wheels are just going to change the whole look of your car. Cant wait to see pics.

Ok, I put them on the car this evening since the streets had dried up. On the test drive I heard a rubbing sound from the front. Sounded like the plastic inner fender. I was driving slow too. The front should not rub at all I thought. I'm off tomorrow, so I'll try to fix it in the morning. The rears look great and do not seem to be rubbing.

Pics will be posted tomorrow.

You might need a small spacer for the front. O'reilly's has them for $10.

My 18's rubbed up front on the inner plastic on really sharp turns...... if the rears dont rub now drive it around some more and hit some bigger bumps..... i had to roll my inner fenders for my 295/35/18's.... and when i swaped to a 315/35/17 i had to cut the pump stops complety out to get then to fit and they still rubbed on the outer fender......
heres a pic with the 315's on the same wheel as you on a 17X11.
You can see were the tire is shiny were it was still rubbing a lil
