Default Who drag races with nittos ?

I'm looking to get a better launch with my A4, and my god awfull Kumho Supas are finally done for. I wanted to get two nittos for the back and leave the 2 best trend Kumhos in the front.

Has anyone else had 2 different brand's on their car at once? Is that a smart thing to do? We are finally getting a third car so this will no longer be my daily driver.....

Last question, I here those nittos take a John Force burn out to really make them sticky, is this true? If so, can you really nail it off the line or do you still have to pussyfoot it??

Nittos last forever compared to any other drag radial.

Do you mean Nitto 555 Extreme street tires or the Nitto 555R drag radial?

The drag radial. The regular nitto just goes up in smoke on my car.

Even better is to have 4 Nitto R2's on the corners; same as the drag radial only a stronger sidewall for cornering.

i ran 555Rs on the back for just about every wheel setup i had. And they dont need much of a burnout to hook hard, but be sure you drop pressure to at least 15psi at the track.

The nittos are a really hard compound drag radial. I like the performance they give. And yes a good burnout is necessary.

I may be a little in the dark as far as how hard they hook from smaller burnouts, due to the fact I was only cutting 2.0 60's. Don't get me wrong they were hooking when a street tire wasn't, but the lack of power probably didn't require much heat in my Nittos to hook up properly.

but either way, try different burnout lengths when u get them and see what works best for your car.

Well put. I guess the burnout lenghth will vary with how much HP the car is making.

I don't recommend this setup for daily driving since it is a very harsh ride. I've got the 275/40/17 RII's on my second set of wheels for auto-x.
Let me tell you though, driving on the street, you can take on and off-ramps at insane speeds (as long as your suspension is good) and the car feels like it is on rails.
