Everthing I've read here says that 9.5X17 rims with 275-40x17 is safe with no mods on standard ride height. (that's what I went with)

It sounds like 11in. rims with 315's have a 50/50 chance of BFH mod.

I tried Ebay at first, but could only find a set with 11inch rears or a set of 9.5's with tires (tires that I was not familiar with).

I found that Discount Tire had the 9.5x17 inchers for $166
and Tire Rack had the tires I wanted... Avon Tech M500 275-40x17 for $126.

I just put them on and haven't even driven it yet, but, darn they look good.

I'll get the links and a picture, and be right back....

Note: their picture shows silver, but it is black in the description and the actual rims I got.

I was in the same position as you 1 year ago, but I decided to go with 17x11's in the back, and then the 9.5's up front. My 11's fit with no problems, but I went with the 50mm offset. The 38mm are the ones that give most people rubbing issues, or having to roll the lip so there's no tire splicing. Just remember, when you get 11's in the back, your adding weight, and you can't rotate your tires like 9.5's all the way around. If I started over, I would get the 9.5's and just slap on some Drag radials, because my 11's aren't giving me any more traction then the stock 16x8's.
Either way you go, plan ahead and know what to expect in the future.

BTW, you can get some from AFS on ebay
