555's or 555 DR's for daily driving?
I know this has been talked about, but i cant find a direct comparison, from what i've found, the DR's hook, but last 15k, but the 555's last longer than BFG KDW's, but i cant find how long they last on the street, i have crappy traction right now, i'm running dunlop sp5000's right now and they suck, i spin them all the way through 1st, hit the limiter into 2nd, they are worthless, whihc would be best for me the 555's or the DR's? i want to hook and im puttng 360 to the wheels, waht do you guys think? also how long do the 555's last?

I've got 555 18s with +400 rwhp and I have to be careful with the throtle on the street in 1st & 2nd to keep them from breaking loose. If I start out easy, it's no problem at all. Get on it at all and they'll lite up. That's the street though. I've only run it down the 1/8th twice, but I was very suprised at how well they grip on the track. They have GREAT traction in the corners too. I'm real happy with them & will probably get another set when these need replaced.

The 555R2s won't last any longer than the 555Rs, they are the same compound, different side wall. I used to run 555s in the front and 555Rs in the back. It worked out pretty well and was a good comprimise. I had 18K miles on my 555s when I sold them and they could have easily made 30K+.

So would the 555's be sufficiant for the street with the power im making? i always ease into it on the street or i just sit there spinning, but even easing into it and hitting it around 15mph they break loose like mad, and i dont want that. So basically will the 555's cut it for street racing and daily driving? or are the dr's a must?
