Will 18's hook up??
 

I really want to get a set of 18x9.5 chrome z06 wheels.

Bfgoodrich makes a drag radial up to 295x35x18 for the 18's

Would 18's with 295 bfgoodrich drag radials hook very well?
How much worse than a 17 with drag radials?

Mine weren't hooking up very good at all until I put a BMR torque arm on. That improved traction alot. Still, the lack of sidewall makes it difficult to hook on 18's. Its really much better to go with a 17 and use an MT drag radial in my opinion...

I have 17 inch chrome zr-1's on my car right now. They look just a little bit to small.
But I guess ill live with it. Rather hook up then look a little bit better. I like my rims anyway.

mine hook good now with 285 GS/D3's. It's all in the tires. I had Kumho's before and they sucked. Of course I'm not cammed either. At least not right now :devil:

Take it from me. Get some heads also. And get a bigger cam than you think you want. You will just want more in the future.

I thought I would be happy with the set-up I have now. But im getting an f-13 and heads this winter :devil:

I would but I'm a Tech Student and live on in a Apt. with one roomate. So I'm on a budget. I'm going to get a cam in the high 220 duration. So I will be ready for heads in the future. I daily drive my car to. So I have to consider that

I just got my rims on with 275/40/18 Cooper 2XS tires. Not bad for the price of 160 a tire. They hook up pretty well. A world of difference from the stock 16x8's.

I was wondering how they hooked up with drag radials.
Has anyone pulled around 1.8 60 fts with 18's and drag radials?

Also....go with the f13...you have a 6 speed. It is very streetable and makes very good power. One of the best cams IMO.

iv cut 1.91s on my 275/40/18 street tires no doubt i would cut a 1.8 if i had some BFG drag radials. i might have cut a 1.8x if my car wasnt lowered with no LCA brackets
