Default Black zr1

Hey guys,

I have tried to contact some of the vendors that have black zr1 rims with no luck. I am looking for the black with polished lip. I rather the deep lip, but the thin one is ok. I am also looking for two 17x9.5 and 17x11 +50 offset for the camaro. Can anyone hook me up with where to buy these?

Thanks,
Jason

I just bought a set of black chrome reproduction ZR1-style wheels and tires. They went on the car and they look awesome. Got them off EBAY from AFS .... got the entire wheel/tire setup for $1242.00 which included shipping and insurance with no tax. Mine were for a Trans Am offset and they fit, look, and feel great. I have a few pics if you'd like to see them on the car. All 4 corners are 17" x 9.5" with Goodyear Essenza EVO-Z 275/40/17's with a tread pattern nearly the same as the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's. They have a tread wear rating of 420 ... heat rating of A and dry traction rating of AA. You should consider a set of these AFS wheels and tires.

Email Samantha at AFS from the email address on their ebay ads. You won't get as good a price over the phone or on their website. I was told you could, however, found that their EBAY BUY NOW price is remarkably lower for the wheel/tire combo.

I got mine from Discount Tires. They have alot of wheel suppliers that they don't normally deal with, but can special order from. I think I got the 36 offset front and 50 offset rear for my WS6.

I think it was around $1400 total. That was with Sumitomo HTR-Z tires mounted and balanced with warranties. Looking back, I'd probably go with AFS off of ebay. You can get better tires and pay less.

Also, the WS6 stock centercaps fit perfectly on the AFS ZR-1 wheels.

This is a pic with no centercaps.

It seems like nobody is making the gunmetal ZR1s anymore, either. All I see on eBay are polished 11s, chrome 9.5s, and black chrome 9.5s for a Vette which say they won't look right on a Camaro.

So far so good. I haven't put alot of miles on them yet. If you do a search you'll find that they have a pretty terrible reputation around here though. I needed (wanted) 315's and wasn't willing to pay ~$300 a tire.

i have the sumitomo 315's and i was in the same boat. got mine for $250 for the pair. wasnt about to spend $300 a tire that would prob get smoked off anyways. i like them though they seem to wear pretty good and traction is decent. i think they are worth the $

I am running the HTRZ's too! I dont think they are all that bad. I really cant see the way over $250 dollars for the other brands each!!! Even if i only get 15k out of them its cheaper in the long run. Hell, i just might buy another set for when these wear out. At $250 a set shipped to my door its well worth it!!!
